All students pay the base tuition for their first 2 classes. Students enrolled in three or more classes will qualify for the multi class discount on classes 3 and up. Song & Dance, Musical Theatre and Exam Classes do not qualify for the multi class discount.
Tuition is based on a yearly rate and will not be adjusted for holidays, competitions or unattended classes. If a student withdrawals after October 1st, their tuition will be refunded on a pro rated basis. In the event of illness or injury resulting in significant absence or withdrawal from classes, tuition refunds will be considered on a case by case basis.
Each dance student pays a non refundable registration fee of $30.00 per year.
The cutoff date for our age groups is December 31st of the present year. Our age groups are a general guideline as your dancer will be approved for the class(es) that will most help them grow as a dancer
At TDC Ballet is a pre-requisite for Jazz, Lyrical, Modern and Pointe classes age 10 and up.
This is a combined Ballet & Hip Hop Class for age 3, kids born in 2021.
This is a combined Ballet & Hip Hop Class for age 4, kids born in 2020.
Beginner Class options include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Acro.

In 8 monthly payments (September - April). If you choose this option all 8 payments must be presented to TDC on or before Registration Night in the form of 8 post dated cheques.
In 2 payments (Registration Night & January 1st, 2025). If you choose this option both payments must be presented to TDC on or before Registration Night in the form of 2 post dated cheques.
A payment in full on or before Registration Night. If you choose this option, you will receive a 5% discount bonus! You may make this payment via cheque, cash or online banking.
All cheques can be made out to Tisdale Dance Centre and can be placed in the lock box inside our studio lobby or mailed to us at Box 1296, Tisdale, Sk. S0E 1T0
A $75.00 deposit (in the form of a post dated cheque for October 1st) per dance genre enrolled in per student is required on or before Registration Night. If the costume cost comes in under $75.00 we will credit the appropriate amount to your account. If the costume cost comes in over $75.00 we will charge the appropriate remaining balance to your account.
Competition/Festival Fees will be billed to your account in January/February after competition/festival entries have been made. Entry fees are typically $25.00-$30.00 per student per entry.
Exam classes are offered at the rate of $225 per exam class running Sept. thru April and/or May.
Exam entry fees for the association providing the exam (CDTA or RAD) will be billed separate to Tisdale Dance Centre. These fees are above the class fee. Once your dancer commits to participating in the exam the exam fee must be paid even if the dancer does not examine last minute.
Exam bodysuit, skirts and shoes will be available for rental from the studio. Rental is $10/item. Tights will need to be purchased, we recommend 2 pairs. Students can also purchase their own attire.
Fees for classes, rentals and exam entry will be billed to your studio director account. These fees are due before the commencement of the exam.
Students who choose to do extras (Solo's/Duet's/Trio's) will be provided with a form at the beginning of the year that is to be filled out and returned to Miss Dana by October 1st. All students will then be assigned a choreographer for their extra.
Private lesson fees are set by the choreographers. For this season the fees are as follows:
- Solo/Duet/Trio's will have a fee of $65.00/hour long lesson paid at the beginning of each lesson. These fees are paid directly to the choreographer.
- Each student should expect to have an average of 3 lessons of choreography per piece.
- Competition and Costume fees are are not included in the choreography fees.
- The student can choose which competitions they wish to attend and which costume they choose to use and/or order under the guidance and approval of their choreographer.
- Choreographers will do their best to clean each piece prior to competition(s)/performances, rehearse each piece before stage time at competitions(s)/performances, as well as put each piece on stage at all competition(s)/performances. If the choreographer can not be present they will do their best to provide a suitable replacement to support the student.
- The student will require a mobile device to record the choreography at the end of each lesson.
- If a student needs a piece re-choreographed because they forgot and/or lost the previous lesson's video the rate is $65.00/hour.
-Those students that choose to do extras must be prepared to practice/rehearse on their own in between choreography lessons, schedule any needed rehearsals with the choreographer, as well as possibly practice themselves before a performance if a situation arises.
-Choreography lessons are between the student(s) and the instructors only unless a parent/guardian is invited into the studio space during lesson time.
TDC will register student's extras into the festivals they choose and charge their accounts accordingly. There is a studio administration fee of $15/per solo/duet/trio. The administration fee will need to be submitted by October 1st along with the registration form.
Please plan to attend the Solo/Duet/Trio Costume Night at the Studio (watch your email for details) as it is at that night that you can purchase a used costume or pick out a costume from a costume catalog. If you choose to buy a new costume from a catalog you will need to provide the studio with a $75.00 deposit per costume that night.
Genre options for extras are Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theatre, Pointe, Hip Hop. All genre's chosen by the dancer need to be approved by TDC Instructors.
